Handloom Products Stall in Central Railway Station

Various handloom products stall such as Baskets, cloth bags, Zip bags, Mobile pouches, Agarbathi, Candles etc.. made by our Chandrans Yuva Foundation’s Visually challenged people had alloted to us in Central Railway Station,Coimbatore for 15days. It was an excellent opportunity for us and our visually challenged to reach out and give awareness to most of the physically challenged, rural womens, house wives etc. Also we would like to thank Railway team members for this opportunity.

One Station One Product’s mission is to promote regionally unique and indigenous goods and crafts by setting up display and sales locations in railroad stations by the government. We the Chandran’s Yuva Foundation receive that great chance. People from the Chandran’s Yuva Foundation set up a stall at the Coimbatore Railway station to make benefit of this opportunity.

Products made by the people with disabilities from the Chandran’s Yuva Foundation, such as handicrafts, artifacts, textiles and handlooms, traditional clothing, processed/semi-processed foods, spices and forest products, sandalwood-based products, coffee, and cardamom, etc., are available for purchase in the one station, one product stall.

This boosts the confidence of those with disabilities and motivates them. This encourages people to be courageous and strong in society. They gain confidence and are inspired to participate in national programme like ONE STATION ONE PRODUCT

The INVISIBLE KALEIDOSCOPE for skill development initiative of Chandran’s Yuva Foundation assists them in achieving these types of programmes. This Program starts from 22 Aug. 2022 to 6 sep.2022. This one station one product takes 15 days in the railway station, more people buy products from the stall, which motivates and appreciates them.

At this event, they not only sell their manufacturing product, but they also raise awareness about a plastic-free world.

A hero is an ordinary person who finds the strength to persevere and endure in the face of overwhelming odds.

Stitching training to Anaikatti tribal womens

Skill development is mandatory for womens , especially for tribal womens it was difficult for them to attend classes or transportation. so our chandrans yuva foundation provides stitching training for them at their places to empower womens. we also provides free tailoring kit such as tape, scissors, threads, trimmers, bobbin cases, bobbins, needles, oil, clothes etc..By this they can create their own financial freedom

CORE GROUP MEETING

The meeting of the Core Group of our Foundation was held on the 13th February 2021 at Hashsix Hotel. The meeting was chaired by Mrs.S.Sashikala, Chairperson-Chandrans Yuva Foundation. And the meeting was attended by our core group members. In this meeting, our members stressed the need for more frequent interaction and better coordination of the efforts by our foundation. Our foundation initiating more skill development programs and bringing awareness to the people to help differently-abled people. Several initiatives were discussed in this core group meeting.

Certificate distribution for Kids

Chandrans Yuva Foundation organized competitions below 12 years children on various topics like drawing, singing, storytelling in the topic of “My Hero”.The children were asked to submit their works through WhatsApp.We always welcome such events which encourage children and involve them in such activities. Many children turned out to participate in the event. We had a prize distribution event for the competition participants. we distributed certificates for all the participants and prizes for the top 3 winners.

Advisory Meeting

An advisory committee is conducted by our Foundation which is a collection of individuals who bring unique knowledge and skills which augment the knowledge and skills of the formal board of directors in order to more effectively guide. Which provides non-binding strategic advice to the management of Chandrans Yuvanshankar foundation. The advisory board meeting was attended by Chandrans Yuva Foundation chairperson Ms.S.Sashikala, following Dr.Sri kumar,Mr.Sathguru,Mr. Michael,Mr.Selva kumar,Mr.Manikandan and Mr.Siva.

BLOOD DONATION

Chandrans          Yuva      Foundation organized a Blood  Donation  Camp. Many  people  who  donated  blood  in this camp were Mr.C.Santhosh is a Visually challenged person who also donated   blood.He   is    currently working in our Chandrans Yuva Foundation he says, “I take  each donation camp as my contribution to society  And  I  take  pride  in participating in such activities also he added ‘something in me forced me to volunteer  that  decision  changed  the way I looked at myself. I  no  longer felt handicapped. I was  able  to contribute  to  the  society   like   any other abled body person,” says Mr.C.Santhosh.

(MIND GEAR )LEARNING CLASSES FOR SCHOOL DROPPED OUT STUDENTS

Everyone deserves a good education Every year Thousands of children dropped out of schools in India due to poverty. Chandrans Yuva Foundation has come forward to take care of dropped-out students. Students from rural and remote areas attending classes at Chandrans Yuva foundation. Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.

YOGA SESSION TRAINING

Chandrans  Yuva  Foundation  initiated  a  daily  yoga class  for   visually   challenged   people,   differently- abled  people,  and  the  staff  working   in   the foundation. Yoga practice in  the  morning  helps  our body  to  relax  and  peaceful  mind.  This  yoga  session is  instructed  by  Mr. C.Santhosh who  is a visually challenged person and is  working        in   Our foundation.

BASKET   WEAVING WORKSHOP

Visually challenged  people  are  superhumans, they have done impossible things which perfect  Humans can’t do. How visually challenged people doing  this? only through practice. Chandrans Yuva Foundation conducted a training program  about  basket  weaving for the visually challenged person.  Through  this training program, encourages people to start their weaving business and manage their livelihood.

(IK) TOWEL STITCHING WORKSHOP

Chandrans yuva foundation Foundation directed a workshop for outwardly tested individuals on the preparation of sewing the edges and logos close by towel and shower towel by utilizing the force administrator and sewing machines.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

The human spirit is one of ability, perseverance, and courage that no disability can steal away. In our Chandrans Yuva Foundation, in the month of February, we celebrated the birthday of Ms.Kavitha who is a visually challenged person. She has never celebrated her birthday since her Childhood so our Foundation decided to bring happiness to her, So we celebrated her birthday along with all our staff and distributed sweets and food with the grace of joy.

Another opportunity for the differently abled to create an opportunity to make money and stand on their own legs we have organized numerous skill development workshop recently we are teaching them to make Idly dosa batter by providing them with the necessary resources raw materials and equipment

Proper nutrition and healthy meals are vital towards the holistic development of the child and the mother to ensure every pregnant women has the access to the right food and nutrition we have set out to provide Nutritional kits to pregnant women with the help of doctor and nutritionist our kits will include health supplements,vitamins,proper meals and other essential supplement

In the village of Pattanam, In association with the village Association and 105 RAF, tree saplings were planted in and around the Pattanam village village lake. The move was towards, making a very stable ecosystem around the lake which has been dry for nearly a decade now. The move was welcomed by the villagers and the RAF personnels also showed great commitment in caring the environment

In association with 105 RAF(Rapid Action Force) Tree saplings were planted in RAF Vellalore campus. The commandos and officers are showing great involvement and responsibility in maintenance towards making the environment Green. Their valuable support started from kickstarting the saplings planting event in RAF Campus.

Chandrans Yuva Foundation recently organised a skill work shop and taught them to make masks to help or city tackle the city crisis. When you uplift a women you uplift a community that’s with this this goal we are empowering women to Teach them new skills and help make a difference in our city we have organised a mass mask stitching drive to help fight the global crisis

To Commemorate our glorious 4years of serving the needy and making a difference we organised a tree planting ceremony to ecological celebrate our 4years with Dr. Leena rose Martin as our chief guest hosted the event

GO GLAM PARTICIPATION

Organizers of Go Glam, A Pop Up Event organized for 3 Days in Coimbatore to exhibit the new age trends in fashion provided with a Showcase and Exposure to the Talents of the Specially Challenged People to the People.

Thanks to the Suguna Kalyana Mandapam, GO GLAM Organizers, The Volunteers and Support at the premises.

In another stall, Disgenerable, The Baking Practices by Physically Challenged people were on work in order to reach out to the customers with its special varieties and the Spiral Roll got huge attention.

The stall included Visually challenged people stitched IK Label Cloth Bag, Kitchen towels, lunch towels, Lunch Bags, Cloth Bags, Grocery Bags, 2 & 4 Zip Bags, Mobile Pouches, Purses, Handbags were displayed and with the motive of Individual Social Responsibility among the people with the focus of bringing awareness among Society.

WORLD LARGEST JUTE BAG

Chandrans Yuva Foundation always believes that the platform provided for the differently able people and the underprivileged must be higher. So with the skills and talents developed to those people in order to make them much more successful in their lives, we decided to give them worldwide recognition.

For the attempt at the Guinness Record for the World’s Largest Jute Bag 9 Visually Challenged people who had received hands-on training and practice under Chandrans Yuva Foundation spent 5 hours to make it. With the Go Green initiative going global and very much needed at this point of hour where global warming and environmental pollution is having a spike, this effort to make the World’s Largest Jute Bag.

The Jute Bag stitched had dimensions of 66 Feet in Height and 33 Feet in Width without handle. and when measured with the handle it measured at 77 Feet in Height and 33 Ft in width. The Bag was stitched by the Visually Challenged people in the presence of Guinness Records officials approval to make the attempt and in the presence of Textile Designing and engineering students and Yuva Club Volunteers along with a team of Transgenders who offered their support for the event.

With the desire to color the ‘visions  the special people’ our designers cross the first step of designing the clothes which are to stitched The designs allows the trainers and designers to focus on their targets.
